Raúl González (1952) was a Mexican race walker. In 1978, González broke 50 km Race Walking World Record twice (3h 45m 52s and 3h 41m 20s). In 1984 Olympic Games, González won the gold medal in the 50 km of Race Walking. In 1984 Olympic Games, he also won the silver medal in the 20 km of Race Walking. Since 1977 to 1987, González won several gold and silver medals in World Race Walking Cup and Pan American Games. From 1988 to 1994, Raúl González was Director of National Sports Commission of Mexico, and from 2002 to 2004 executive president of the Mexican Professional Baseball League. Comments are closed.
